im progressing toward a diagnosis of liver cancer where can i get some help and advise please?

my gp has done a series of tests that indicate my liver is not functioning correctly and may well be enlarged and has a degree of discomfort. more test to follow this week. im 71 and my wife and i love each other a lot. she is unaware of the possible ultimate diagnosis and is talking about times past and to come i get very upset at this and wonder what i can do?. as i have not had the final diagnosis should i tell her? .

What do you mean your liver “may well be enlarged”? Hasn’t your liver been scanned? Without looking at it there is no indication you may have cancer. I’m 99% sure your doctor has not told you that you are progressing toward a diagnosis of liver cancer. I think you should tell your wife what is actually happening and give her the opportunity to go to the doctor with you so she gets the information first hand and allow her to ask questions.
